Please check the timetable carefully and do not get your lesson time wrong.
Two courses from 2019 Spring Term, “Music Theory (G4-G5)” and “Aural & Rhythm Training (Advanced)”, will not be continued in the summer term.
At the same time, considering different needs from the students, we will divide our “Music Beginner” into two classes, A and B, and use different approaches based on the situation. Students with better understanding from the previous lessons will take class A. They will have a further study on reading music, playing rhythm and basic aural training. They are expected to have a basic knowledge and ability to start an instrument learning. Huihui and Ben will be together giving the lessons for class A. Students from class B will take a relatively slower speed to study. They will review all the key points from the last two terms in order to help these younger students to have solid understanding. Class B will be given by Ben. We will inform each student separately about the detailed class information.
Students from “Music Theory (G1-G3)” will take the ABRSM music theory exam for grade 3 during this summer term. The aim of this exam is to help them get familiar with a theory exam and this will not affect our normal lessons. After the exam, students will keep having the lessons and prepare for the grade 5 theory exam.
Our current students do not need to register again. “Music Beginner (A) & (B)” will have some places due to the division of the previous class. The new students will be put into class A or class B based on their current music experience. Other courses as “Listen to Classical” and “Aural & Rhythm Training” will accept only a few new registration as the places are limited. Private lessons for “Piano”, “Cello” and “Violin” are also almost full now. If you register for a private lesson, we may need to put you on our waiting list first. We will confirm your place for a private lesson later when it is ready.
For the new registration, please fill in and submit the form at the end of this page. Please read our Course page carefully. There are some useful information on it as introductions to each course, learning plans and how to choose. We will contact you after receiving your submission. For any new registration who previously has a music experience, eg. studying any instrument or participating any performance, if you would like to register to a private lesson, you need to take an assessment before the confirmation. We will give our advices based on the assessment and help to set up a learning plan. (if you wish to cancel a course, you need to give a half-term notice. For more details, please check School Policy page.)
We will send out our confirmation emails before 12 April 2019. The email will contain your fees and payments information. Please finish the payment on time. The lesson place will be finally confirmed when the payment has been successfully made. Students who are waiting for their assessments will be send the email after their assessment.
We really would like to say THANK YOU for your support and trust. If you have any question, please contact us. We will try our best to help and let every student and parent satisfied.
